MARCHESI VINEYARDS from Hood River Oregon held a winemakers dinner here on Thursday. We had a hundred people there a true testament to the very wonderful owners Franco and Sandy Marchesi. This was a first for Marchesi to have such an event in another state. He networked with some local individuals and found Momma Lucy's as a venue. They hit on all cylinders! A cozy little classy restaurant with the Owner/Chef that obviously knows his craft! The best lasagne I have ever had. The lemon chicken breast was just as special with a wonderful lemon/wine sauce. Finally the Tiramisu was anwork of art and I'm told the owner/chefs better half is the dessert chef and what a quality and flavorful tiramisu! All and all it was a very successful night for Marchesi vineyards and Momma Lucy's! If you love Authentic Italian food this is the place to go in Scottsdale.
The pasta was amazing!!! Skip the calamari tho. It wasn’t good but that’s my fault for ordering it at an Italian restaurant. They should seriously take it off the menu. It damages the menu compared to the irresistible pasta. I had the carbonara with real guanciale!!! My friend had La Zozzona and it was amazing! Completely different from the carbonara. I recommend them both. Oh and I can’t forget the parmesan crisp! Added a great touch! I’m excited to go back and taste more pastas and food. The place is super cute and the paintings are cute. They make you feel like you’re in Italian.
One of my new favorite places! The food was absolutely amazing! And my tiramisu martini was even better! I got the gnocchi arrabbiata and it was just the right amount of spicy sauce with soft pillowy gnocchi. Our server Chris was so kind and funny. Overall a very very good experience !
Mama Lucy just set a new standard for 5-star Restaurant in my book; I'm absolutely floored! The waiter, Chris, was exceptionally on point: perfect timing when checking in with us, charming and professional in demeanor, and very knowledgable when it came to the menu and the daily specials being offered. The ambience was Elegance/Decadence, really representative of a high end establishment. The food was HEAVENLY! We went for the Trio Platter Special to try all three Specials, and each one was uniquely delicious to the point I could not stop myself from clearing each plate. We also tried the Arancini as an appetizer, and it's definitely two thumbs up from us. Lastly the dessert special was DIVINE and left us craving more, so we left with a Cannoli to go even though we were stuffed to the brim with one of the best Italian Restaurants I've ever had the honor of tasting.
My wife and I had lunch at Mammy Lucy, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing—authentic, flavorful, and prepared to perfection. We went with the Regina Carbonara, Tagliolini Allo Scoglio and a new salad that will be on the menu soon that consisted of jumbo prawns and calamari in a lemon sauce. The bread service was fantastic as well! The portions were generous and the service was truly stellar. Lorenzo was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly, making us feel welcomed and well cared for throughout the meal. Mamma Lucy will likely become my go-to spot for Italian, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re planning a casual meal or a special celebration, this place will exceed your expectations!
Exceptionally delicious Italian restaurant in North Scottsdale. Great ambiance and interior. Went around 1 on Saturday and we had the place to ourselves, our server was very friendly and attentive. Had the Limoncello Spritzer was really good! Caesar Salad was excellent, great dressing and lots of parmesan. Cacio e Pepe was really good, just needed a touch of salt and more fresh cracked pepper. Pasta itself was Bucatini and was excellent. Carbonarra was also really good, sauce was spot on, Guanciale was crispy and delicious but strayed from traditional as it was chopped finely versus 1/4 inch cubes. Also needed a little more fresh cracked pepper, same delicious Bucatini. Highly recommend, looking forward to going back and trying Gnocchi and the Amitriciana.
My son recommended Mamma Lucy and he was spot on. Great ambience and service. We all had pasta dishes which were very tasty, plentiful and very fresh. No leftovers with us. The strawberry and walnut salad was very good as were the pizelles. We were stuffed and didn't have dessert. Made another reservation for next week!
We were looking for a late night Italian dinner, the photos posted do not disappoint. I’m not sure why people are saying it smells like a salon, it does not. (Maybe COVID or something) But the food was great. The service was great. The recommendations were great. The cocktails were great. Even the lemonade was good. I appreciate that they allowed us time to finish our appetizer and that they were attentive to the dishes we were don’t with by removing it from the table. Definetly recommend it!!
